He was my all-time favorite driver. I still have all his books (5). He was the opposite of today’s drivers, bitching when they lose and giggling like crazy when they win. “If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same” -Rudyard Kipling. I remember when he was a director at F1 Jaguar and tried to get Adrian Newey on board. Ford said no because he was too expensive. Imagine what could have happened then….
