Charles,
Watched at the 3:56 point, and for another minute or two. In what sane world does a battery cost 3 *THOUSAND* dollars???? Doesn't this, by default, negate your "relative bargain" statement?
The fact that I can't afford these modern electronic nightmares aside, even if I could, never in a million years would I. At least not for my toy car. I always admire your (and other listers') enthusiasm, but perhaps even more, I admire your tenacity
in putting up with all of that. Wow.
🙂

How about battery goes dead, you have to break your window? I?ve been researching McLarens since they?re a relative bargain. I?ve been looking mostly at the 650S, but apparently on the MP4-12C, when the battery dies, the last thing it does is lower the window a hair so you can open the dihedryl doors with a special key to get in to charge things. If that malfunctions, you have to break the window to open the door. Check out this video. Skip to 3:56 if you?re short on time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znSziiek0j8 |
