I too switched from R12 and, under the promise of the tech guy who added a dye to the system, we’d find the problem.  That was 1999.  It leaked out.  We never found the problem on the 308. I haven’t tried anything since.

BUT – that said – the 1982 Porsche 911 SC was changed out along with the York compressor and THAT system was just fine.  Sort of.

I’m aware of the pitfalls.

 

I changed over to Duracool. It was good for a while, but it seems to have leaked out anyways.

Careful – this aint a “drop in” fix.

There’s a whole bunch a lot of DO’s and DON’T’s
