Yer right Peter Since the velocity at the top of a tire is twice the velocity of the vehicle the lack of centripetal force is staggering even at only 60 mph. Imagine the forces at 100? 150 or 200? Perhaps that’s why the average Indy/F1 tire tread casing is about the thickness of a 25¢ piece? (shudder) Doug From: Ferrari [mailto:ferrari-bounces+dnt=dock.net [at] ferrarilist.com] On Behalf Of Peter Rychel TPMS is a common problem among every make of car. Considering what the sensor has to go through in it’s life, it’s understandable. That family of motor can trace it’s roots all the way back to the GT4’s V-8.
