My Tahoe has the option to remind you to check the rear seat when you turn it off ... but how do you forget a kid/??  We have had multiple instances of this (one 3-year old died) as well as "parents" passing out drunk or high with kids in the car - windows up etc.

So why isn’t there a system in place that if the car senses that the rear seat belts are in use you cant lock the car and the windows stay down?
