Interesting someone posted the oil filter torque values for lots of models and the 575 was something like 16 lb ft while my 400i was a bit higher. I used to hand tighten the filters on my 400i and never had a problem over 15 years. 

I think the reason for the change to using the torque spec was because too many beta male millennials don’t have the hand strength to hand tighten the filters properly without messing up their man buns! 😂
