Yes thanks, I think it’s 1 1/4”. I’ll have to go buy one. My biggest wrench is 1 1/8”.
Any advice for the torque ? Is it just hand-tight ?

Michael,

Also if you are talking about the hoses to the oil radiator, make sure you have the large
wrenches available, and especially use one on the fragile aluminum radiator nut while
tightening the hoses!

I took the afternoon to open up the space (wheel and inner fender and oil cooler ducking- one bolt only). It looks even easier than on the 328. Very confident for the fuel filler.
Now, I took a good look at the 2 oil hoses: The bottom one seems a bit tough but doable for me. I wonder if  A LOT of oil will fall down once I disconnect the 2 ends ?
The top one seems much tougher.
Ah well, I have 2 weeks anyway.

All,

That is much harder than a GT4!  One of the advantages of the Dave helms hose are their
flexibility and they bend much easier making the installation a snap.

I found a great suggestion online that actually worked for cutting large OD hose. Put a hose
clamp on where you want to cut tighten a bit and use a one side razor blade. I am amazed I never
tried or heard of this before but it cut some hoses cleaner than any other way I ever tried!

Good luck with your project!

My government here in Quebec has given us, teachers, 2 weeks off to help prevent the spread of corona-virus. I bought all the parts I need and was going to give the job to my mechanic in the spring.
But, since I now have 2 weeks with absolutely nothing to do, we just had our spring break on the 1st week of march, I thought I would try to do it myself.

Before I start, please give me some advice. Fuel filler (I bought a long tube from GATES, cut it in shorter pieces (4” long) and put the rest on eBay) needs to be change. I also have the 2 short oil cooler hoses from SUPERFORMANCE to change.

Any sort of advice will be welcomed!
