Yes, definitely the small size is the biggest plus for me. I made a custom bracket for my halotron extinguisher and even though it’s clear and out of the way (beside the driver’s seat). There is still bulk to it. I’ll certainly consider this as a replacement (and a few extras for my other vehicles).

Although four steps for discharge, including the key one, striking the yellow tip “...will start a chemical reaction and gas will immediately begin to flow from the tip of the Element extinguisher” is a bit too much. A conventional extinguisher requires pulling the safety pin and squeezing the trigger. That’s it. As a welder, I’ve started a couple of fires by accident, including one major one (almost to the point of the fire department being called in) and let me tell you, the more steps there is, the more chances that fire will get out of hand real quick. It truly takes seconds for it to grow exponentially. I could see most people will end up squirting this stuff in their face, trying to get it going with that kind of process. Definitely requires practice prior to actual use.

Any of you seen this? Maybe even used it?

The Halon units I have in my cars are pretty old now. Their pressure meters still read good, but this seems like a pretty cool backup.
