I don’t know if he’s still lurking here, but Dennis Liu has a Radical. I haven’t got to drive it yet, but he says it’s pretty spectacular, although a little
brutal on the body to drive. Some tracks require arm straps, which makes it difficult to give point bys (although there may not be many of those once you get to know the car
J). I don’t know your skill level or history, but most instructors and programs say that you’ll learn a lot more a lot more quickly by buying a car that has lower
power and fewer driver’s aids – Miata, E36 M3, Boxster/Cayman. When I started to get into track events seriously I started shopping for a 987.2 Cayman. It got some modifications that make it more track appropriate versus the earlier 987. Cheap to buy and to
run. Some tracks have restrictions against convertibles that don’t have hardtops or cages, which is why it makes more sense than a Boxster. Anything that gets you on the track is a good choice! Good luck. -- charles From: Ferrari [mailto:ferrari-bounces+charles=carolinasound.com [at] ferrarilist.com]
On Behalf Of Mark After an awesome track experience, I've decided to retire my 308 from the racetrack, but still have the bug! |
