A friend bought a 1990 ZR1 new just for use as a track car. He has
very deep pockets and would rent race tracks all over the country for
private track time. Complained of seemingly incurable understeer
until he put racing rubber on it. That seemed to fix it. Lots of high
speed running wore out rear wheel bearings, otherwise it was quite
reliable. He kept it for about 3 years before buying a full on race
car and switching to SCCA GT1 racing.
