That’s true, although I’ve found that once it’s gotten some heat into it, that because the shift from second to third is a straight pull back, it’s an easy two-fingers for me.

 

I still haven’t tried shifting it without the clutch though.

Reminds me of taking people on test drives of the 308/328.  With that long ‘delicate’ shifter handle, people wanted to push it around with two fingers.  Had to ‘coach’ them to manhandle the thing to get the proper ’thwack’ into gear.  It was like they were afraid to break it off.

T handle comes off !


I have to remember this is a 6 owner car before it got to me so there is no
telling how many guys pulled on this like it was the lower handle on a
