When you have the right aircraft and training... flying in the weather, in the dark is a wonderful thing.  Experiencing lighting go by you 200ft away at night opens your mind.  If you believe in such things, it puts you closer to God.   Landing in weather, at night, on a boat will make you a believer... they were my only "Oh God" moments outside the bedroom.  Thankfully he saw me through.   And I'm not an overtly or overly religious person.

Also weather related incidents like fog rain and the ever present NIGHT

FLYING ah yes Ask me or anyone of us who did that on a regular basis NIGHT

FLYING a much diff that NIGHT DRIVING It?s a recipe for disaster for those

who think this is just like driving !

Most civilians who fly don?t do it at night and very few fly in bad weather

And they are smart And alive I might add Listen I flew steady from April

1969 up until my last flight on 23 august 2015 no interruptions other than

vacation being sick and training What?s that 45 plus years in fighters and

helicopters and airliners And still to this day I know that I will never fly

again as a pilot and trust me I still know how to fly And I you think the

average JOE BAG A DOUGHNUTS is going to buy a flying car and make it out of

the lot alive, well Your doing mind altering drugs!

Forget about the insurance premiums and liability claims There isn?t enough

room to talk about that!

Those things will be crashing out like roaches in Puerto Rican kitchen,

everywhere !
