Problem with seat-rail bolt (missing nut): SOLVED

I’m so proud of myself. I found a cheap and easy way to replace the nut that disappeared into the floor for the seat-rail bolt.
U-NUT (M8) (see picture). The little box I bought had 4 of those: 1/4 -20 (A) 17/32 (B) .025-.150 GM 1480627 / 1494252. 3 of them were the same and a fourth one was bigger. That’s the good one, my bolt screws in very nicely. Serendipity!
I can’t use the u-nut as it is. I’ll cut it in half to make it flat and put the extended end (1/4” deep) directly into the hole, it will sit tight there and then put the seat-rail over it and finally screw in the bolt. VOILÀ.
Free advice from the list.
