In the OH-6 which I flew I was the only pilot and I sat in the right side of the bird
The UH-1 had the AC seating in the left seat it didn’t have a full instrument panel in front of him 
He had more visibility but he had nothing to slow down small arms fire which killed a lot of them
They fixed all of that in the UH-60 Blackhawk
