The filters used on the 308 are rather generic in fitment, also used
on old Ford pickups and some industrial engines.  Back i the day when
the UFI fiasco was going on, I researched this a bit.  If you look
long enough, you can find maximum pressure ratings for filters, and
the Baldwin is among the highest.  Several competing brands have
pressure ratings that are not too far from the cold pressure that a
308 can generate, leaving little safety margin.  AC/Delco actually
makes a filter with the same specs,  (pressure rating, anti drain
back, etc.) but it's very hard to find.  I special ordered a few, but
not sure why, as the Baldwins are more readily available. Note that
many of the regular, generic filters that will fit don't have the anti
drain back.  Which gives you zero oil pressure for several seconds as
it fills on every cold start.....
