Yep 130 for 1957 in the 1500 class usually beat the others with their top speed of 99 mph. Besides – it cornered as fast as it went straight. A most complicated engine. Fewer than a handful in the US can now effectively work on them. All gear drive twin cam per cyl bank. Won its class in the Mexico Carrera de pan Americana. Per Wiki “Later, some Porsche road cars were named Carrera after this race (in the same theme as the Targa’s named after the Targa Florio),” Big fish in a small pond. Onward Doug |
