And it only works spoken, not written: If you can't make both ends meet, make one vegetable.
And those of us that went deep into statistical thermodynamics know that P is never zero, so we're never "wrong"; the difference between Rick and me are just the length of the error bars, the curve is the same.
I like to think it's not equilibrium, but more a state of zen.
Depends completely on your vantage point… most pessimists I know are quite happy because the are generally right. People love to view other’s foibles from their reality.
I take a dash of pessimism and a spoon of cynicism…. And end up at skeptical empiricist.
And that is why pessimists are pessimists. They fear being wrong. Great for survival but it rarely leads to inner peace. And a pessimist is rarely disappointed… Remember, a cynic is just a premature realist...
