I love this era of Japanese cars as they were heavily influenced by the Star Wars spaceship design style. I love that yours is in silver, which looks the best. There were lots of brown ones. My first car was an ’88 Mitsubishi Colt and it was all straight lines (the only curves was the steering wheel and the front wheel wells. Even the rear wheel openings were squared off at the tops)... It was great fun to drive. I don’t think any of them survived. Peter Sent from Mail for Windows From: Charles Perry Yup. We still have my dad’s Mitsubishi 3000GT-VR4 which was part of that generation of Japanese performance car. Outstanding machine. We also used to have its twin, the Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo that was my mom’s. I am also partial to the 2+2. This is my 1983 Datsun/Nissan 280ZX 2+2. I owned its twin in high school, sold it, regretted it, and then bought this one a few years back for less than the cost of parts for a 30K service
on the TR. 😊 From: Peter Rychel <dino308gt4 [at] hotmail.com>
It was what was available and he wanted to get one before prices starting getting really out of hand. His ideal example would be a 2+2 Turbo. I’d go for a 2+2 as well (although not a Turbo) as I find the shape looks better with the longer wheelbase. We both grew up during this era of cars and naturally we’re both drawn to them. I remember when they came out and just fell in love with the design and the advanced spec, as it was a radical departure from the previous generation. It still
looks great and modern today. Peter Sent from

On Behalf Of Peter Rychel The foreman is back from holidays and with another crew member taking time off, I volunteered to take his place. Is it wrong as a subordinate to drive a more valuable car than your boss? It’s an interesting comparison because these two cars are pretty evenly matched performance wise. Doesn’t matter, we’re both having fun... Peter Sent from
