They are amazing, especially the forced induction models…Elise SC, Exige, etc.

No I haven’t. I almost traded in my 308 towards a brand new Elise! I was seriously considering it (the dealer was quite eager to take my GT4), but I changed my mind... Glad I did 😉

Good thing is, Elise’s now are quite cheap and all of the bugs are known (with great web forum support) . It would be nice but with four vehicles and only a two-car garage, I’m max’d for space!

I have yet to drive one but will soon as I will be joining the Lotus Owners Group this year.

The early Elan is amazing.

Have you driven any of the more modern models? Elise, Exige, Evora?

My favorite was the very first export models without the turn signals on the nose. They had the purest shape and to me, looked the best.

I almost bought one many years ago (way before I bought my 308). The problem with every one I looked at was they all were very needy projects. None of them were ever close to being turn-key...

Yep, 74, yellow.

Huffaker (Joe Sr.) did some of the work and supplied almost all the parts.

I was thinking Ferrari Europa too.

Sorry, yes Lotus.  Fun car.  It was my 2nd of three (so far) dealings with the Huffakers.

"Europa"??  As in Lotus, or something even more interesting?  The one Ferrari my Dad owned was a 250 "Europa"  (one of only 3 Vignale-bodied coupes)....

Thanks.
