It was a dry sump, it was originally brought into the country by Wayne Rainey’s Dad. Not sure how it ended up Panama Red’s stable but that’s who my brother and I got it from. In Vegas. Late 86, early 87… and was just white.
We kept it a couple years and sold it.

"X180" is the one designed by Stevens after and for the duration of production.
You probably had an '83 Turbo Esprit as that was the model year they were officially introduced in the USA.
The 1980 would have been a very rare and special Essex Turbo which had a dry sump engine, very low ride height, unmistakable paint scheme, etc.

Yep, had two fuel fillers But I thought the wide body or "G" were done by Peter Stevens before he went on to do the McLaren F1. I'm going to have to look that up... but not tonight.
And who thought the F1 was a Gordon Murray design???
