Interesting release although it would be cool to see a chart of MPG trends over the past few decades.

I remember the Chevy Spectrum, CRX HF and Geo Metro XFi getting 45 mpg many moons ago?

Granted, the corporate average would have been much lower but there were some standouts!

Doug may chime in here and tell us again about when the catalytic converter first came out and how it made a dramatic difference in Kalifornia’s air quality. It’s certainly obvious we’ve come a long way.
