For most of our events, a few local photographers come along and shoot the cars arriving and leaving the events.

Action shots sure do make things exciting. I have one framed in my shop of my 348 on the way to Montreal back in 2004.

Ha!

Yeah, it was a blast. For all of these years I have thousands of still photos of my car(s) at various shows, but never driving, action shots. When I get the 308 back on the road, I’ll have to do the same with that car.

Wow!

This must have been a fun day indeed. Car looks awesome in the shots.

Who is the Mcqueen lookalike in the last photo??

Don’t let the subject line mislead you, this is totally Ferrari content.

I posted a few days ago on my Instagram account the following series of photos I had professionally taken, and thought I’d share a few others here.

Two weeks ago, we had a miraculous clearing of the weather that was literally, picture-perfect. I had an open-ended arrangement with the photographer to have a shoot done with my Mondial and it worked out. We played around up in the mountains of North Vancouver and then finished up in the fertile Fraser Valley, east of Vancouver.

With so much going on of late, this was one of those “live-in-the-moment” experiences that felt like true fun. With out a care in the world. The air was crisp but not cold and the background still in all of it’s colorful glory. As much as there was a loose plan, you really couldn’t plan for this. The car behaved perfectly and I’m still surprised how fuel efficient it is (I put more than 120 miles total in the couple of hours spent in this session and hardly used much of the “dinosaur juice” as my buddy puts it).

The weather turned completely the next day and I haven’t touched the car since. All of the leaves are gone and we are in full Pacific Northwest winter mode (endless rain). I look at these photos and it puts a smile on my face... That’s what it’s all about.
