Coyote is a wonderful motor.  But it’s one and done.  The cylinder coatings cannot be replicated in the field.  One cylinder gets a scratch and you own a big chunk of future beer cans.

Technology has moved on, you can get a Camry with over 300 hp. Nothing like dropping $100k on an old 308 and still having a soccer mom smoke you on a freeway on-ramp.

Building a normally aspirated hot rod is really low on the $/HP scale.

Abuse is a relative term, but I'll agree the transaxles will take a bit of punishment, the twill gears... not so much.

No experience with the Koenig setups but the Norwood ones are aging well.

A modern single turbo would be a lighter and less complicated solution with minimal lag.
