The Eight was built to a price point, they took out some of the details on the interior.  Sold a bunch more, but part of that was it was just on the market longer. They merged both models into the Brooklands in 1992.

The real sweet spot is a s/n in the 20000 range (1988-1989). Those give the most sorted/least complex of the run.  Only thing I don’t like on mine is the power seat belts, but I’ve got it on my list to do a conversion to a European set up at some point. But if you just pull a fuse, they stay in place and you don’t need to worry about the system breaking.

We’ve discussed this off-list before, but how does the Mulsanne compare to an Eight?

This series/era has always been my favorite.

Only pre-war Brit car for me is a chain-gang Frazer Nash...

(It’s unfortunate, but this was one of two F-Ns that were delivered new to Canada and this car spent it’s entire [80+ years] life here in British Columbia. When the owner passed away, it got sold off back to the UK)

Mulsanne S.  Only down 60 hp in it to the Turbo R without any of the headaches of the early Turbos warping the heads.  It does have all of the suspension upgrades that the Turbo had.  Great car.  It's ex-Peter Cullen.

I forget, is that a Turbo R? I miss my blue Turbo R. One of my favorite quotes was from my daughter who pointed out that in the minivan when we hit curves we go slowly, but for some reason in the Bentley it goes faster through the curves!
