Oregon requires a front plate, but I've never been bothered by the cops for not having one on either of my Maseratis. A few weeks ago, a friend who is a city cop was over helping me with some fire wood. He looked at the front of the Quattroporte and said, "Jeez, there is absolutely no place at all for a front plate." Doug's vinyl wrap plate wouldn't even work, as there is no surface more than a couple inches in size facing forward. I bought the car from the Maserati dealer in Santa Monica. They made me sign a disclaimer saying that a front plate can't be mounted without obstructing necessary air and cooling intakes. It was an off-lease car that they originally sold, and the prior owner drove it locally there for 3 years without a plate. My previous QP5 did have a way to mount one under the front fascia, but it would hang down just a couple of inches from the ground. Hans. (I checked Oregon DMV, and the plate "ONE8E5" is available. I think I'll get it.) On 1/11/22, Douglas Anderson <dnt [at] dock.net> wrote: > Matts sharp eyes hip checks Doug to the boards . ..’ Wait Doug, those are > license tags, not bumper stickers!
