Ah yesh – the Enzo.

Picture this – about 1999, a Ferrari Club meet at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, for a lecture on a Ferrari concept car – and lunch too, cafeteria style.  Terri and I get our trays, find a small table to sit at and just as we start a Japanese fellow asks if he can join us.  Sure.

He tells us he’s the fellow who will be talking about the concept car, Ferrari Rossa barchetta.  Only change Pinin Farina made was placement of the Pinin name plate . . . goes where the engine is.  Well, at least on that car.

He goes into colors how silver makes the car look small and red makes the car look big.  Or did I get that backwards.  And other interesting design stuff.

Anyway – then he starts to tell us how they have designed a new car, can’t talk about it now, BUT he was tasked to design a 200 mph Ferrari without using wings . . . . you’ll see it in about a year.  Oh, OK.

And that’s how we met Ken Okuyama.  Enzo designer.

Cool minimalist business card.  I think Luca Cordero di Montezemolo copied it for his business card.  Or vice versa.
