So how many houses have you burned down, Mr. B? On Jan 20, 2022, at 14:52, Anthony Bauco <tbauco [at] gmail.com> wrote:
That all seems perfectly fine to me. I hate that there are cameras everywhere now.
Luca di Montezemolo...
I remember talking to an Italian friend back around 2015 or so about Luca's conviction and subsequent suspended sentence for building his house in Naples... He said, "Yes, yes, this happens in Italy. In order to build a house correctly in Italy you would have to be a fool. So everyone just builds their house, gets convicted, pays a fine and it all goes away. But, if you run Ferrari... it is a very small fine... otherwise the Tifosi will burn the magistrate's house down". I said, come on... really, burn the guy's house down? He said "Yes, twice the magistrate's house was burned down when Enzo was alive".
I just don't think the folks in Detroit have the same passion for Bill Ford, Jr.

Ah yesh – the Enzo. Picture this – about 1999, a Ferrari Club meet at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, for a lecture on a Ferrari concept car – and lunch too, cafeteria style. Terri and I get our trays, find a small table to sit at and just as we start a Japanese fellow asks if he can join us. Sure. He tells us he’s the fellow who will be talking about the concept car, Ferrari Rossa barchetta. Only change Pinin Farina made was placement of the Pinin name plate . . . goes where the engine is. Well, at least on that car. He goes into colors how silver makes the car look small and red makes the car look big. Or did I get that backwards. And other interesting design stuff. Anyway – then he starts to tell us how they have designed a new car, can’t talk about it now, BUT he was tasked to design a 200 mph Ferrari without using wings . . . . you’ll see it in about a year. Oh, OK. And that’s how we met Ken Okuyama. Enzo designer. Cool minimalist business card. I think Luca Cordero di Montezemolo copied it for his business card. Or vice versa. ![]() Cheers Doug
