One of my best friends posted this story on facebook and this was my reply:

"The driver apparently ran out of skill. Still not as bad as the one wrecked on the PCH back when those cars were new. That car split in two with the power unit separating from the main tub. That one was REALLY ugly.
I (probably) feel bad for this guy. He was (probably) just out doing his job and (probably) got caught out by the crappy weather.
I say "probably" because a similar thing happened here. Tech out for test drive wrecks car. Came back with some story about a deer involved. Turns out, however, that a good looking blond from the dealership also happened to be along for the "test drive". Things that make you go "Hmmmmm...."
Car was repaired, repainted, and sold (with full disclosure) to a client wanting to get on the list for the next new model ("Yes sir, Mr. J.Q. Public, we can get you on that list. But first you need to take this pig, er, wonderful and only lightly used Ferrari off of our hands. ").
This was the story as told to me by that client."

FWIW, YMMV, yadda yadda....
