3M scotchguard paint protection film.  Comes in a 8mil

3M also makes a heavier duty 8591 film that is 16 mil - that is more for extended body work (think the protection on leading edge of the rear wheel well bulge on 911 Turbo). Might be too thick for headlights.

In any case 3M is quality product

Lots of people will precut the shape for you so you should have options.  Install is pretty easy, like putting the decals on models as a kid, just use lots of soapy water and squeegee thoroughly

The stuff the used car guys use is crap and overpriced.  They like it because it hides flaws.  Use whatever Clyde uses.  That must be the best.

Hi guys,
What is the recommendation for a clear protection film I can use to cover the fog lamps on the 512tr. Protection from stone ships and breakage is the intent. I’m in the USA in 3 weeks and want to buy it there ( hard to find this stuff in Sweden) so if anyone knows anything I can mail order, buy on Amazon etc I would appreciate it. Not sure what works best or is easy to apply as I have never used this stuff before.
Recommendations?
