Hi Clyde, Thanks for the detailed reset info. Not sure its exactly universal for all models, but I had similar exerience a few years ago. I was on my way from Sydney to Melbourne to then connect with a ferry to Tasmania for the Targa Tasmania when my 599 went into limp mode with warnings of various issues. It was Saturday afternoon. The nearest Ferrari workshop was about a 200km tow truck ride, and they were closed anyway till Monday. So it looked like I might forfeit my Targa entry fee, the Bass Straight ferry fee, etcetera, and spend the night on the roadside. I called around my contacts and eventually got onto one of my friends who is a Ferrari mechanic and on his advice with a sequence of disconnecting, reconnecting, disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, and a bit of patient "wait a while" it came good, back to normal, was good for the whole trip including the competitive stuff  and has held good to this day. Weird electronics for sure! Cheers, Grahame

Here you go

Turn battery disconnect switch off and turn off all accessories (stereo, A/C, etc).

Let engine get completely cold or wait at least 30 minutes.

 Reconnect disconnect switch.

 Disarm immobilizer with the fob.

Insert key in ignition and leave for 30 seconds.

Turn ignition to on and leave for 30 seconds.

Turn ignition off and leave for 30 seconds.

Turn ignition on, wait for Check OK, and start. May have to push fob again if 120 seconds have elapsed since last fob  actuation.

Let idle with no input whatsoever for 10 minutes.

Turn accessories back on and drive gently for 10-15 minutes at least.

OK Clyde – I’ll bite . . . how do you “hard re boot” a Ferrari electrical system?

Glad it worked out Clyde

Ok

So here is the latest

I am home safe

Did a hard re boot which killed the low fluid light

But turned on a CEL

Got home

Restarted the car

CEL went out

Bottom line as far as I am concerned is

Know how to do  hard reboot

Typical Ferrari its never something hard always something simple

Never have I experienced anything like this in all the thousands of miles I have had on this car

The new cars seem very quirky with electrons

Anyway that it

Oh yea one more item

NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE without the TOW RUNG

I did

Close enough to home to get it towed.
