First, the term slush box is reserved for automatic transmissions with bands, clutches and a torque converter, not manual transmissions.

Second, manual transmissions are generally far more reliable.  They are simple mechanical devices that require little to no electronics or hydraulics.  A 575 with a manual wouldn't have broken down like yours did.  But, hey, never stop being you.

Ok

So here is the latest

I am home safe

Did a hard re boot which killed the low fluid light

But turned on a CEL

Got home

Restarted the car

CEL went out

Bottom line as far as I am concerned is

Know how to do  hard reboot

Typical Ferrari its never something hard always something simple

Never have I experienced anything like this in all the thousands of miles I have had on this car

The new cars seem very quirky with electrons

Anyway that it

 

Oh yea one more item

NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE without the TOW RUNG
