You lined up the screw slots with each other. Bravo.

 

The factory workers would never bother to do this. Lately on this List, there are those who would have a bird when, God forbid, someone goes above-and-beyond to do something with care and attention. But your sir, get kudos from me.

Here is the final on my door jam switches saga. The switches provided by Eurospares are the Ferrari alternative since they don’t make the originals anymore.

 

1- I needed to make an extra hole on the plates to make room for a screw to hold the switch in place. There is a little winglet added. The original holds on by pressure.

2- I needed to enlarge the holes because the ‘alternative’ is slightly bigger.

3- I had to bend the male lead at almost 90 degrees like the original was. That’s a very fragile part to play with
