Peter,
The plating used to be gold cad with the cream colored button, but since Italy outlawed the gold cad platinig as too toxic
many years ago, now the switches are clear zinc plating with the black plastic button.
No concern for originality, but you get a switch that works.

Hey Rob, That switch you first showed was used on Dinos and Daytonas and is part number 20166807. The same switch was used on 365GT4/2+2 and 400/412 models under PF # 253-80-832-00.
The switches Michel got are 20069803 and were used on deck lids on 246, Daytona and 308gt4's. The same switch was used on 365GT4/2+2 and 400/412 models under PF # 148-80-816-00. Here is the final on my door jam switches saga. The switches provided by Eurospares are the Ferrari alternative since they don’t make the originals anymore.
1- I needed to make an extra hole on the plates to make room for a screw to hold the switch in place. There is a little winglet added. The original holds on by pressure. 2- I needed to enlarge the holes because the ‘alternative’ is slightly bigger. 3- I had to bend the male lead at almost 90 degrees like the original was. That’s a very fragile part to play with
Ah! The joy of working on a 42-year old car
