Is your car repairable or is it a total loss?

Update
Went to my insurance people
They settled with me
Minus my deductible
When they get their money from the North Koreans
I get my deductible back

On another note my adjuster was a great guy Desert Storm FO( called in air strikes)
He said with exotics when they get a claim they immediately open a line for $25K
No questions asked
Thats why he is at a loss why State Farm is actin so poorly
After I get back from Monaco I plan to write the president of State Farm
Enclose all the documentation
I don’t think State Farm is a bad company they just have bad employees

I think what Clyde meant (correct me here, Clyde) was that SF was the other driver's insurance company, and he contacted them directly in an attempt to keep his insurance company out of the picture.  But SF is not treating him well, so he may have to go to his company and sick them on SF for the cost of repair.

It's unfortunate that SF has treated Clyde badly, but don't hold that against the whole company, you just got a bad agent.  When we had our "big event" (house fire) 8 years ago, SF treated us VERY well.  Loss of the house, loss of two cars plus repair of another, etc etc - and well after that, two deer strikes in my new, replacement dd car, and that car being hit by another driver - we have no complaints at all w/ SF.  They never raised our rates (or even threatened to raise them) and never dropped, or threatened to drop, us as a customer.

Everyone's experience is different, of course, but based on mine alone, I would never NOT recommend SF.  As I said, they treated us very well.

FWIW, YMMV, yadda yadda.....

If it?s the other driver?s fault, the whole thing will be subrogated (I think that?s the term) to the other insurance company and you will be covered in full, including deductible. SF shouldn?t be out of pocket for anything.

Contact your body shop to get them ready to walk through the claim with the insurance company.
