I think what Clyde meant (correct me here, Clyde) was that SF was the other driver's insurance company, and he contacted them directly in an attempt to keep his insurance company out of the picture. But SF is not treating him well, so he may have to go to
his company and sick them on SF for the cost of repair.
It's unfortunate that SF has treated Clyde badly, but don't hold that against the whole company, you just got a bad agent. When we had our "big event" (house fire) 8 years ago, SF treated us VERY well. Loss of the house, loss of two cars plus repair of another,
etc etc - and well after that, two deer strikes in my new, replacement dd car, and that car being hit by another driver - we have no complaints at all w/ SF. They never raised our rates (or even threatened to raise them) and never dropped, or threatened to
drop, us as a customer.
Everyone's experience is different, of course, but based on mine alone, I would never
NOT recommend SF. As I said, they treated us very well.
FWIW, YMMV, yadda yadda.....

SF shouldn?t be out of pocket for anything. Contact your body shop to get them ready to walk through the claim with the insurance company. John |
