Watching recent auctions of nearly 20 year old cars with less than 5k miles, I recall when I bought my 12 year old 308 in 1997 with fairly high mileage at the time (37,000) miles. Well this weekend I made it to almost 113,000 miles and noted with interest that the rubber pedal cover for my clutch pedal had fallen to the floor and is kind of disintegrated. So I'd like to replace it, but my question is, should the accelerator pedal have one too? At 37,000 miles my car didn't, but maybe that's because the previous owner pushed it harder and more often in 37k miles than I have on the clutch pedal for 113k miles? ;-)
