Yeah, they took a safer bet than a sub to the Titanic.

I'm really happy that people like Jon get to live their dreams in this way.   I still have issues calling this a commercial flight.  They made money on the passengers but really didn't take any business to space.  What Musk is doing is commercial.  Launching his own and other business payloads, taking people to the ISS, taking NASA payloads to space.

Branson and Bezos are running a amusement park ride to space and back.  Fortunately, they are having better luck than Stockton Rush.

But, I did want to watch it, so it has some interest...  it's flying, and for part of my life, flying was everything.

Here a little fun fact for you guys.
Virgin Galactic just launched today with the first fee paying passengers. One of those passengers is an 80 year old, former Olympian, from the UK. ( Jon Goodwin).
Now I lived in the UK for 22 years and Jon was/is an active member of the Ferrari Owners Club West Midlands chapter along with his wife. I was area group organiser for the FOC for almost 10 years in the West Midlands. Jon owns a 275 GTC and a Lusso amount other Ferraris. Jon has been waiting since 2005 to take a ride on Virgin Galactic, today he had his chance after almost 19 years. He has Parkinson’s but still wanted to go.  Below is a picture of John in his Lusso on a cold wet November night last year when the weather was horrible but he came out to the area group meeting ( I was attending the Classic and Sports Car show in Birmingham that weekend so I was in the UK visiting my old area group.
So there you go, a true Ferrari guy who drives in all weathers and now has made it to suborbital  space at the age of 80.
