I think what escapes most people's minds nowadays is that when they drive a modern car, that, if you turn left or right at the wrong time... You're still dead.

I still can't understand how people can flip a car on it's roof. A couple of weeks ago, I was driving down to Costco, when fire trucks and an ambulance come tearing up from behind me. They shoot past and pulled over to the side not that much farther ahead. As I approach, there's a bunch of people standing on the sidewalk and there it is, a Chevy Cobalt on it's roof, on the front lawn of a townhouse complex. Straight piece of road, no intersections, bright sunny day so the roads were bone-dry. 

Boggles my mind...
