Like Mr. Garven Jr. I am no fan of Mr. Verstappen as an F1 driver or a person...
And I'm in no position to criticize anyone's looks... But Max is good.
And yeah, Perez is number two in points this year.
But Max has double the points of his #2 teammate.  Basically 600 to 300.
Red Bull with Max's dominance has more team points than Mercedes (2) and Ferrari (3) combined... 860 to 815
Sergio's average finish this year was almost 6th.
So the car isn't helping Sergio much.
Max could have sat out the last 6 races and not been caught in the points.

I think the only thing that keeps Sergio at Red Bull after the off season is so many of the other drivers being locked into 2024 contracts.

And going back to the original point, if you watch the intervals in fast speed... well, you'll see

Perez finished 4th because he had a 5-second penalty.

Isn't Perez second? That would indicate the car has something to do with it .

OK, probably not a spoiler but didn't want anyone's nerves getting frayed... and this IS for those who have the race recorded.

I've done this the last 5 or 6 races and find it telling.   When *I* watch the F1 events I usually watch the on screen racing and occasionally will look at the position board on the left hand side of the screen.  The numbers Max puts down are always growing but sometimes imperceptibly so.   If you have a DVR system with the ability to playback recorded events at faster rates than normal...  try something like 15x playback speed.  Don't watch the action on screen, but watch Max's numbers while they are showing the intervals.   Once he puts his mind to it, the numbers just climb steadily...  very little ebb and flow... just tic, tic, tic and the hundredths of a second in the interval between him and whoever is following just marches on, regardless of his position on the track.  He just pulls away from everyone at a fairly constant pace.   He is truly the best at the current moment.  Perhaps it is the car... but Perez isn't doing as well.
