Wow!  Reading this, I have so many questions....  What is the "guillotine" listed on the red parts bag? It pushes into the firing pin to ignite the rocket motor

 

(doesn't sound good!)  Same for "face shield"? in a zero G situation you hands will fly up to grab the 2 yellow handles which when pulled will pull a piece of cloth over your helmet to protect you head

 

  How does one actually acquire one of these? I got it because the unit was getting rid of the aircraft, it what we calla seat trainer its an actual seat removed from an aircraft minus all the explosives

 

  Was it acquired as an office chair, or did you turn it into that? No its actually a real seat you just put on a roller

 

Also, guessing from the dialog that you (Clyde) have actually initiated an ejection? No but came close numerous times !

 

  Besides the sudden rush of upward movement, was it LOUD? Its loud those are rocket motors

 

It's stuff that a mere dumb civilian like me just can't comprehend....

Your seat was way more comfortable but you had long flights  as well
