I was a new Flight Commander at Misawa and I had one of my WSOs killed in a MB ground ejection. I was having a Flight meeting and we heard a bang. We looked out the window and saw a chute and thought that he might have made it. It was the chute that separates the seat in addition to the butt snapper however. He was on a test flight where they pulled some negative Gs and his Flash light got up into the Banana Links in the back seat. It was a cold day and unfortunately he unstrapped during the taxi back. When opened the back canopy it crushed the Banana Links and the seat fired. He probably would have made it if he had been strapped in! Luke From: clyderomerof4 [at] gmail.com <clyderomerof4 [at] gmail.com> You know the banana links were always an issue especially with FOD You had to remember to remove all you pencils from your suit prior to ACM I will take a picture of the links for the list From: buyer1 [at] airmail.net <buyer1 [at] airmail.net> Make sure that all you pins/sears are in and the Banana Links are clear before you sit in it Clyde!!!
