Knowing what technology and supply base they are using, it is hard to get excited over a disposable consumer good, regardless of the price point.

It’s funny, the 296 is talked about as being one of the very best driving Ferraris ever made. The performance/engagement quotient has never been been higher, apparently. Someone I know has one and an SF90 and while he prefers the latter slightly, he definitely thinks the former is awesome and probably a better value.

The article talks about VIP status which is hard to know what it means in this context because it wasn’t defined well enough. I’m assuming it means someone who can buy all the heavy hitter Ferrari hardware, not just a model or two.

Said person above I very much feel has become a Ferrari VIP. He has managed to do it rather quickly (less than a decade). Pretty much everything Ferrari makes, he buys — including the Roma which he isn’t a big fan of. The end result - he told me he received an allocation for an F80!

The spirit of the article is largely correct but not all the details apply 100%.

Total Bullshit article
I put down a down payment on a 2025 296.
It was easy, I don’t own but one Ferrari, and right now they can’t move 296 because of all the issues on that car.
I got my deposit back in full. No questions asked.
Glad I didn’t get the car and by the way I know 2 others who did the same thing with the 296. It’s the modern day 348 which almost bankrupt Ferrari with warranty claims and lemon law claims.
