FYI: The only thing I know about the 348 TB is what I have read on this list. After reading an interview with Nicola Materazzi, who was hired by Enzo himself and former turbo expert at Ferrari during those years, in ENZO magazine #29 summer 2025 (french version, I used to get the english version here in Montreal but I think it does not exist anymore), I thought I would share what he has to say about this car. After the F40 was announced they immediately got 900 orders. Enzo Ferrari had declared they would built 400 at first. Materazzi adds “The money they made with the F40 was more than enough to compensate with the disaster of the 348 TB for many years….. bad quality….. mediocre torsionnal rigidity”. He adds "The responsibility was entirely due to the new management, all from Fiat bureaucrats. Enzo had promised him the job of 'Technical Director’, Enzo died and another Fiat man got the job. He finishes the interview by saying “ After 3 months, I quit and was ready to work for any company as long as it was not part of the FIAT group. Michael Savard
