You are saying that Ferrari speedometers read faster than the car is actually going. Right? That statement is consistent with Ric Rainbolt's measurements when he owned my 308GTB. I can check that against my Mercedes once I get the 308 licensed for general use. The SL500 is frightfully precise. I bought my gt4 in Philadelphia and drove it home to Memphis. In Virginia I was pulled over (65 mph speed limit is ridiculous). After some small talk about the car, the officer got around to asking me if I knew how fast I was going. I replied, "I don't know, these speedometers are notoriously inaccurate." "I clocked you at XXmph", the officer stated. I made a mental note ... hey this speedo IS pretty accurate as XXmph is exactly what it read. I'm using the original wheels and period correct tires. Fortunately the officer was from Tennessee and apparently in a good mood so he let go with a verbal warning. Mike
