The recruiting in the DC area for top high school athletes is ridiculous.
Typical moral standards don't apply when pro (now school) sports are
concerned. There is a local high school that went out of their way to
recruit a kid that was just arrested for armed robbery. They made a
statement that XXX school football considers him innocent until proven
guilty. His criminal record is already more interesting than his
transcript.

It's sad. Is there hope for athletics in modern society? Is there any
true, unfettered competitive sport remaining?

What ever happened to winning for the glory and surreal adrenaline rush?

If someone knows, please pass it along.
