If the 355 has good records and has some of the mentioned issues addressed,
I'd go that way. I've never been a huge fan of the 348 styling, whereas I
think the 355 is the last beautiful Ferrari to date.
80 more hp would cost you a bunch of money to do for a 348, plus the 6-speed has largely done away with the cold 2nd gear shifting issue that would exist with the 348. Of course, when driving my 355 casually, I generally only use gears 1-3-5 because the ratios are otherwise so close that it's barely worth shifting.
I don't know the UK market, but around here I think if you shopped hard you could find a 355 much closer than 30% to a 348 price. Even well cared for, the 348 has only averaged 1000 miles per year. Given that you actually drive your cars, I think you'd be asking for a first year that included a lot of shop time for regular garage-queen type repairs.

Well, on an even keel maybe they are but looks aside for 30% less I can get a
well cared for 10 year old, 10,000 mile 348 vs an 8 year old 355 with 30,000
miles. For 30% less.....In that case which is better....
(sorry for the delays in answering you guys but obviously we have a time difference here.)

Put the bottle down. I can't believe you asked if 355's are better. Have
you not been paying attention?
