F40 Wedding Ring

The designers of my wedding ring emailed me a picture of the wax model that
they are going to use to cast the ring in platinum. I initially wanted
Titanium, but this pattern would be too difficult to engrave, so they
computer-milled it in wax, cleaned it up a bit by hand, and then will be
casting it. I need to go try on the wax version tomorrow morning.

The ring width is 9MM wide.

The tire is a 17" Pirelli - the rear tire of an F40. :)

To get the pattern, I colored a section of the full-sized tire with an ink
pad, then rolled it over a legal sheet of paper (the letter size wasn't wide
enough), scanned it in, and sent it to the designer.

So the ring is an actual representation of my actual tire.

I can't wait to see this thing in platinum!
