Saw this n the MB list but it didn't occur to me at the time to suggest you 
contact the major shock companies - especially those specializing in german 
high performance cars like Bilstein, Boge and Koni.  If available, they'll 
offer them - but as Brian suggests, they'll probably be worth more than your 
300E when done.
