[NFC] Watch regulation

Being the onset of the holiday season, isn't it the time to begin a new watch thread?

Has any other lister ever tried to regulate his watch?

I recently sent my Rolex Daytona (16528) in for service and when it came back it was running +6 sec/day when compared to The official U.S. time - clock <http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5/java> . Mind you, +6 sec is a lot better than its previous state of being exactly right twice a day, but it still kind of pissed me off that the repair guy didn't bother to regulate it. Not wanting the send it back to the service station, I purchased a micro-stella tool (a very small, very strange wrench) and pair of brass tweezers on eBay and dove right it. DIY watch regulation is not quite as daunting as home dentistry, but certainly not for the faint-of-heart. Somehow I got lucky and managed to not mangle the hairspring or bend the balance wheel pivot shaft whilst wrenching five and a half counter-clockwise graduations on the smaller pair of micro-stellas. It now appears to be running within a half sec/day of The official U.S. time - clock <http://www.time.gov/timezone.cgi?Eastern/d/-5/java> Quit while you're ahead now comes into play.
