Daily driver is W124 ('88 MB 300E) Am on 3rd one of those. Have driven in the past, not in any chronological order and probably forgetting some: 1960 Chevrolet Impala 2 door coupe 1963 Chevrolet Impala 2 door coupe 1971 MGB (first new car) 1973 Ford Pinto Runabout (engine grenaded) 1985 Dodge Lancer ES 2.2 turbo 5 speed 4 door sedan (turbo grenaded) 1984? Chevrolet Chevette (complete POS car, floorboards rotted through in places) 1978 Ferrari 308gt4 (the much loved and missed 'Mario') 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata R ('Mimi', also missed) 1973 BMW 2002tii ('Turkis') 1963 Mercury Marauder S-55 1966 Chrysler 300 1969 Chrysler Newport Custom 1987 Subaru DL 198 or 9? Mitsubishi Galant ?? 1980 BMW 320i 1982 Fiat 2000 Spyder 1984 ? Honda 1990 Acura Integra GS (wife's car) 2002 Ford Focus SVT (daughter's previous car) 1965 Corvair (where I learned to drive stick) 1964 Pontiac GTO (where I also learned there's no reverse lockout...) 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 (friend's car drove to N.O. and FL on vacation) 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 (Drove drunk friend's car home after he crushed a beer glass in his hand on Rush Street. Kinda big, but with cheap gas and rocket ship acceleration, who cares?) 1984 or 5 Porsche 911. Before the hydraulic clutch and G50 transmission. Nice sound, but car was very rough. 1985? BMW 535is. The car that disappointed me and led me to test drive my first 300E. Thank you. 1986? BMW 635CSi. Felt too big for a BMW at the time, although it handled nicely, I guess, and had "sufficient" power. :) 1983 Ferrari Mondial Coupe, Euro, owned by various members of the list and now for sale by Dave Craig, who let me ride in it and drive it. Man, if they could clone this and make it meet my parameters, what would it be? Unobtanium? Great car, great sound, but BTDTGTTS. And probably more, but you get the idea. Right? Tom Reynolds Tulsa, OK The 300E seems a bit on the large size, but it handles really well for what it is. Would like it to have a 5 speed, Sportline suspension, and a nice catback and we wouldn't be having this conversation. The Subaru seemed to be about the "right" size, but no power at all. Actually the 2002tii seemed right, but it was top heavy, other things happened with that car, too numerous to go into here, but a modern version of it would be okay, probably. The Lancer "felt" big but really wasn't but once that turbo blew, boy what a complete dog. Shifter was vague as well. Bought it new, lots of things went wrong with it, thankfully under warranty. Lousy dealer service. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Fellippe Galletta" <fellippe.galletta [at] gmail.com> To: "Tom Reynolds" <kjtar [at] cox.net> Cc: "The FerrariList" <ferrari [at] ferrarilist.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 4:58 PM Subject: Re: [Ferrari] Road tested '98 328iS 5 speed today > E36 M3 too large and luxurious? > > Damn, what kinda cars are you used to? > > :-) > > > On 11/22/06, Tom Reynolds <kjtar [at] cox.net> wrote: > > > > Yuk.
